Martin and Geneviève from Saint-Hubert wanted to get more natural light inside of their semi-detached house. At the same time, they wanted to change the look of their home by giving it a more contemporary style, while complying with the Egress standard for emergency exits in the event of a fire.
Before, the living room window configuration had too many divisions, which affected the brightness in the room. In addition, the awning window, located in the basement bedroom, did not meet current building code standards.
At the same time, the owners wanted to replace their front door, since it no longer offered the energy efficiency they sought. Their priority was to find a local company, offering the possibility of manufacturing and installing products according to the standards in place. They contacted us to replace their front door and their front windows.
In accordance with the identified needs, our door and window advisor offered a personalized solution. We suggested replacing the current PVC window in the living room with a beautiful 1/3, 2/3 type casement window. This alternative solution provides the desired style and increases illumination in the room. To give a more current and richer look to the family residence, our advisor recommended that all their windows be in a charcoal-colored hybrid version.
The awning window in the basement bedroom was unsafe, due to its limited opening range, so our advisor suggested opting for a simple sliding window.
In addition, the front door assorted with a matching color Kira stained glass harmonizes perfectly with the windows. Our steel entry door offers strength, durability, and elegance.
